Is spending time alone doing certain activities help you grow?

This is topic which spoken frequently in the past 5 years if you are following motivational speeches. Even Google Calendar has this if you check it in the goals segment of the calendar!! This alone time is proved by many research, also many people follow it and they have told that this has changed their life. The habits given in this blog if followed can also change your life!!!!☺️

This doesn’t mean in a day you must be alone for 3-4 hours or go to a far away place and be isolated. This means spending time with yourself like reading a book, writing in a journal about how you feel or about how the day went or doing meditation, etc.

A study proved that great people like Steve Jobs, many other great people had spend time alone doing activities which has helped them in many aspects of their life.

Steve Jobs used to take a day off in a week and go to a place alone and it is told he got the best ideas there.

Now the next question you many wonder is what are the activities which help you grow.

Many great motivational speakers and spiritual leaders have told many. I would like to share with you some of them.

They are:-

1.Practicing silence from 5- 1 hour a day:-

This is the easiest thing to do as you have to sit simply. Start from 5 minutes. Then gradually increase it. I follow this and helped me understand situations better and had made me more calm. I practice 5-20 minutes. But I know few great entrepreneurs like the owner of a Nuts and Spices who practices it even 1 hour a day.

Why Silence:-

In prayer, you talk to God but in silence God talks to you. Even though you hear words from you mind, in Christianity one of the preacher says it is the word of God . I would like to share a story which she shared. God was searching where to put him in a form so that humans might not find it. Finally, he decided to put into our human body. That the reason why that preacher says it comes for the mouth of God.

2.Meditation:-

This is a practice which I personally recommend as it has helped me a lot. I practice it 95% of the time in a year. Science has proved that this releases neurons to the brain to reproduce certain cells in the brain which is there due to our negative thoughts. There are lots of benefit through it.

How to follow it:-

1.Practice meditation using sloka,

2.Practice it by silence or put some holy song and practice it,

3.A meditation technique used by Brendon Burchard.

I would recommend the final one as I felt it is easy and I follow it.

You can find it by typing in youtube-Brendon Burchard meditation technique. 3.Writing in a journal:- This means writing at the end of the day how your day went, how did you feel. By writing this you might know things which you could have done better or in a different way. This is very useful. You can also write in a journal about a week on Sunday how that week went. You will find what you shouldn’t have done. 4.Thinking time:- This is suggested by a person name Terri Savelle Foy. She says spend 20 minutes in a day of the week thinking how can you improve your business life. It was also practiced by Steve Jobs. I have practiced it and in the starting you may not get ideas but later you get ideas. This might sound stupid but it is not. I can day confidently as I have practiced it. 5. Self talk:- Self talk means talking to yourself in a positive note or telling positive affirmations to improve your mindset. For example, you feel you are a ordinary person who cannot achieve great thinks but if you say I am born great and I can achieve great things. Your mindset changes. It is important as first you and your mind have to Believe. Otherwise you cannot achieve anything in your life. Say it daily. You can choose your affirmations. Like I am an strong man/women. It may sound very idiotic when you think should have practice but it is not. A person has written a book on self-talk and it is a successful book which sold millions of copies. 6.End of the day writing:- This means writing in an notebook about few thing which was suggested by many great motivational speakers. You can write about your problems you had faced that day and then think solution for it. Write down your worries. Write new thing you had learned. Write 5 things which you did and you are proud of it.I t may be things like helping a stranger . This is a combination of things suggested by 2-3 motivational speakers. All are helpful but you can choose what and follow it. I believe you will follow few or all the above habits to help you grow. If you like or agree with me I would request you to share my blog. As you share, you support my message. Thank you all for taking time and reading my blog. With loads of love Harish Muralidhar.
