This question might make you feel why I think words we speak matter and also may make you feel its just words so why does it matter?
I would like to share a research which I read in internet which happened in USA in 1990. 3 seeds of a plant was planted in 3 places. In the 1st place the person who planted the seed went to that seed daily but he didn’t say anything. He went to the next seed and told your great , you will grow and be a big plant,etc but talked only good stuff about that plant. He went to the 3rd seed and said your waste, you won’t grow big, etc but only negative stuff. He repeated saying all the same things for 1 month.
After one month , the 1st seed grew but not too much. But the 2nd seed grew very big . The 3rd seed didn’t grow itself.
After a month of the research, the researchers came to a conclusion that the 2nd seed grew big only because the person told positive about it. You might wonder this is rubbish it’s not true.
Then I would like to ask you then why did the 3rd plant didn’t grow . If you still don’t agree I would like to say to you this truth. The 2nd seed grew big only because of the positive words it was told. I didn’t tell this but the researches came to a conclusion that words matter and if we speak positive to the seed it grows and if we speak negative to the seed it won’t grow. Don’t get angry on me because I said words matter. Only the people you need to get angry is on the people who did this research but they told the truth.
Words do matter. Words can either destroy a relationship or make a relationship great. So be careful about the words you use.
I would like to share another story which I saw in youtube. A famous Nba player visited a jail and he met a prisoner. The Nba player went to a prisoner and asked why are you in jail?
The prisoner asked how did you become a Nba star? The Nba star said that my father told me that I would be a great star. While the prisoner said while your father told this to you. My father told during my childhood day I would be worse in future and end up in jail.
In this case, I am not telling that its the prisoners father mistake that he ended in jail but my question is if why do you use such cruel words to the people you like or love?
The problem in this is most of the times the person who hears the words believe that they will become that way because you like or love them but you told them they will become like that.
Why scold using unnecessary words or make them feel like what the prisoner in the story that they will end up in jail.
Words matter! If a seed can grow into a big plant because if words then imagine how great humans can grow through words!
