Hi friends! I didn’t attend Day 1 of the Yescon so i will speak about the lessons I learnt from speakers on Day 2 only.
I am going to tell the order in my favourite speakers first and then next favourite ones next. You might have other speakers as favourite next. And in this blog I mostly write lessons i learnt more than what they spoke. . 1. Panel Discussion :- This is my favourite one . There were 5-6 people who did panel discussion and topic was which is the most important thing in business- Growth, Sustainability or Vision or Earning Money. On growth 2 business leaders spoke. One of them said that in few years i have more than 30 branches and without growth that might not happen so growth is the most important thing. Another person said i could scale my business because i made growth as my main aim. I now have more stores accross India and my speciality is that I get products from foriegn countries. Growth is what made me scale my business and also helped me set up more branches. One business leader spoke that during covid while other competitors were facing difficulties since i was sustainable i lasted during covid. Without Sustainability i couldn’t have succeed in all these years. Sustainability is very important as you need stability and without it you might not survive. One business leader spoke about Vision. He said that I have a vision and it has helped me to grow my business. Vision is what sets up business from ordinary to extraordinary. When speaking about Vision he said about a Great Hotel Brand saying that if they didn’t have vision they wouldn’t have started branches all over India which is true. Most of the big companies will have a vision and that’s what will make them start new branches. One business leader spoke about Earning money. He said from a young age he learn that earning money was very important and he believes in it. He said that without earning money whats the use of starting a business . We should have a purpose of earning money so that we can enjoy life. So, you might ask whats the conclusion about what is important in business- “All four are important, without any one of them you can’t take your business to higher level”- This was said by G R Anantha Padmanaban ( MD of GRT Group) . I also felt the same as MD of GRT GROUP said. 2. Speech by Mr.G R Anantha Padmanaban ( MD of GRT Group):- The lesson which I learnt from sir is Training must be a part of your organisation and it will give effeciency for your team. Sir said that there is training in each level of their organisation from Promotion to even Transfer so that they will know how to deal in work. Your team won’t listen to you, they will do what you do. In one of the conversation, the mediators said how everyone in your hotels and jewellery smiles . For that, with grace sir told that it started with me smiling and then the employees followed it. Even speak kindly will start from the founder or owner of how they behave. 3.Speech by Mr. Parthiban Varadharajan( MD of Bull Machines Ltd):- Lesson i learnt from sir , you need a product based on the necesity of the consumer . And sometimes its ok to take risk because someone risks gives the best reward. But take calculated risk and if it fails its ok because you can sustain with that losses. Sir said that without Systems you can’t succeed in business. With growth in business if you can’t create systems then you will fail. And systems should be kept based on the problems which can or maybe be created. Keep systems with Root Cause analysis of the problems because without Root cause analysis of the problems it will be difficult to solve problems even if systems are kept and systems must be created because to track operations and also ensure customer complaints are less. Without systems you will never grow in business. 4. Speech by Mr.S. Muthuraman (MD, Lakshmi Ceramics):- Lessons I learnt from sir is sometimes people will think you can’t do it and they may make fun of you. But believe in yourself and take the necesorry steps to succedd in life. Take this as a motivation and not get angry. Innovation is key and in what all businesses innovation must happen , be the first to implement it you will succeed. These are all the lessons I learnt from YesCon Day 2. I hope it helps you. And thanks for reading my blog
