The world was stunned by Bazball approach by England Team in Test Cricket . Many thought and said England will win the series against India. And in this blog I am not going to talk about only cricket but what we can learn from this test match series. 1. Business is a team sport:- Everyone was talking about Bazball approach and how it will change the Test Cricket. In the 1st match England won the match. We can say a single person Ollie Pope won the match for them. And the lesson we can learn for this is- A member in a team can help the company to grow but he alone can’t make your company a great company. That’s why England couldn’t win the series. In business you can’t depend on one person to take your company to great standards. He will definitely help you but if others in your team doesn’t help you. You can’t grow or achieve a goal in a company. And that’s the reason,England lost the series due to this reason. 2. Sometimes your advantage becomes your competitors advantage:- We all know that India lost the 1 st Test match . The main reason is preparing rank turning pitches which is actually an advantage for India but turned out to be a massive advantage to England team because their spinners bowled very well and helped them win the match by bowling great. Lesson we can learn here is When there is equal advantages to both you and your competitors, your experienced team members must step in to help you achieve your companies goals or get a project. Gill , Jadeja and Shreyas Iyer were experienced player and more than that they we players with capabilities to win you matches. India lost the match by just 28 runs. If they maybe even made 10 runs each then India would have won the match. ” When your advantage is equal to your competitors then make sure best members in your team or company step up and help your company to achieve your companies goal or get that client to your company”. 3. Adapt to the Conditions rather than trying your style in all times:- To be frank , More than saying India won the match. I would prefer saying that Bazball lost in India. Cricket is a sport where there are 11 players to bat. I can understand if someone wants to play agressively but not all 11 players. There is a difference between attacking and playing according to situations. The mentality of I will attack everytime if like saying I might lose the match but still I will play the way I want because that my my ideology. Even the best player like Root tried to agressively rather than playing his natural game. Like I said Earlier, England didn’t lose to India. England’s Bazball lost to India. Here is a important lesson we need to learn- Adopting to places and Jobs is important to win in business. To give a better example, Few years back even KFC in India tried something new of introducing Rice Bowl even though its a food company which sells great non- veg burgers and other fried items. They tried to adapt rather than thinking mine is the best Burger and I won’t sell rice bowl. You need to adapt sometimes rather than going only the way you want to try. 4. Trying winning your way and not like how others want:- In the 4th test, after trying to play Bazball, one of the best players in England, Joe root decided to play his way of normal test cricket and not the Bazball type . But guess what he got his 1st test century in this series. Lesson learnt is Sometimes you need to play your way to win in life . Even thought England Lost the match. A lesson which Joe Root learnt is play my way and its a important lesson for us also. Gayle plays cricket according to his style of hitting sixes and helps his team win matches. Kohli plays a different way but still makes his team win matches. Dhoni play the different way of taking the game to the final overs and helping his team to win matches. All play differently according to their way but still they are match winners. All are different. What works for one might not work for someone else. I am not talking about habits required to win. But your unique style to win. For example, During my school days I know a person who needs to revise 3-4 times to get good marks . He reads for more times and also more hours. He scores good marks only by following this method. It’s his winning style. I know another person who used to study for few mins only. She only gets good marks. This is her style of winning. Follow your style to achieve success . Thanks for reading my blog. I hope this will help you. Please share your views in the comment section
