Nowadays inspite of growth and development, which has affected us the most during these stages are being depressed or having stress in people.Major depressive disorder is more prevalent in women than in men.
About six million people are affected by late life depression in a year. Young males age 15 to 24 are at highest risk for suicide, with a ratio of males to females at 7:1. (American Association of Suicidology, 1996).According to world suicide organization a teen takes his or her own life every 100 minutes.
The above statistics and research shows us, that there are a lot of people suffering from depression or stress that means they are not enjoying life. This is insane and a thing which we shouldn’t take it easily.In this modern world, with this social media advancement we should feel more happy and also connect but are we really feeling like this?
I would like to say there are three keys for happiness or thing to do when you are feeling depressed or stressed:-
1.Don’t worry about what others tell about you:-
There are more than 8 million people in this world, if we worry about what other people tell about us we can’t live a life we want. We are human, sometimes few people tell them in anger or maybe they were in a bad mood. My personal advice is don’t worry and if someone argues with you in these matters just tell them I will prove you wrong which I learnt from one of great motivational speakers Mahatria.
“Life is too short, to worry or be stressed so always keep happiness in your heart and forgiveness in your mind”.
2. Never be alone:-
During these times, never be alone. Spent time more with people whom you are comfortable with. Talk to your friend about how you feel. Do things which you like . If you need any help you consult a doctor.
3.Enjoy life in your own way:-
First lets understand different people like different things and also ways to enjoy life. For me, its about watch movies or spending time with family and reading books. But the same happiness for someone else maybe in playing cricket or going out with friends or maybe just sleeping. Everyone must enjoy life in their own way. For example, you can ask Sachin Tendulkar who is a great cricket player to enjoy football as he enjoys cricket.He can’t enjoy like playing cricket.
